Sur Ron Battery 60v 75Ah Endurance V3 Extreme Range 10kW is designed for those that want to ride all day long with confidence this battery massively increases range. Adding an aftermarket controller set to 165A, power then jumps to 10Kw (far higher than a “bypassed” battery) and makes the big sing in comparison to standard.
Sur Ron Battery 60v 75Ah Endurance V3 Extreme Range 10kW is designed to run on a standard Sur Ron bike as a direct swap in battery, increasing the range by a monster 300%.
You can use your standard Sur Ron controller (no real power increase – just range) or you swap out your controller for an aftermarket controller and set it to 165A DC and phase maximum at 440A.
Power
This battery will work perfectly with the original Sur Ron standard Controller to give you range which is approximately 300% more than the OEM battery. Exoskeleton /Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
For the main Sur Ron Battery to controller connector we use one direct set of discharge cables to the controller via a high capacity QS8 connector using very large 6 AWG cables (this reduces internal resistance and heat build up). We use a heavy duty QS8 anti spark connector going through a high power harness that needs to be installed to replace the lower powered OEM harness. We supply the high power harness and it is super simple to install.
2024 Sur Ron Bikes
Sur Ron in their wisdom have changed the battery connector (oval in orange sheath) for the 2024 model. It does not take as much power and is very difficult to obtain. These connectors are not compatible with our batteries (or anyone else’s battery). The simple work around is to install a pre 2024 loom or the free included high power loom. This takes about 30 minutes and is simple to do. If you then want to run your OEM 2024 battery, you will need to purchase an adapter. Most people sell their OEM battery to offset the cost of this much longer range and more powerful battery upgrade.
Some versions of the Sur Ron standard controller may go into limp mode if using this battery with no communication port (not using an aftermarket controller). This will need a very simple modification to the plug that normally connects to the battery. Please see the photo of the battery communication connector we supply. This is effectively two pins that are crossed with a simple piece of wire with a spade connector. Note the area circled in red in the photo.
Voltmeter
This Sur Ron Battery does not have an integrated voltmeter. We supply a voltmeter that nestles in your battery lid.
Domestic Electrics
All your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down. This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).
Please note that on L1e Bikes an orange warning light may flicker on the main display and a small error code may appear. There is no fix for this and a consequence of using an aftermarket battery. Use the voltmeter we supply with your battery to keep track of the batteries state of charge – empty at 48V.

Connecting To Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing the battery has no special order.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
