EBMX Xtreme Electric Mods combine strenuous in-house R&D and collaborations with industry experts to bring you the ultimate Electric Dirt Bike Motor Controller.
The X-9000 V3 has been purpose built from the ground up with a wide range of dirt bike riders in mind and is capable of power inputs of up to 36kW and 900 phase amps (battery and motor permitting) and includes many custom features to dial in the performance and feel of your electric dirt bike.

Talaria Battery 72v 20s 50AH 16Kw Centurion
Not everyone wants to go totally ballistic: pay for a BIG power battery and aftermarket motor. When all they really want is: great range, 75 (ish) MPH top speed and lightening acceleration.
A standard battery has around 1600Wh of range. The Talaria Centurion is 3600Wh. That’s DOUBLE the range!!!
Centurion sits just 5mm higher than the OEM battery in the bike. Just like its bigger brothers in the Electron Cycles Battery List, we have used the best, super tough, 316 marine grade stainless steel casing, powder coated inside and out, it has the big ANT BMS, a single OEM Talaria Connector on 6AWG cable and pure copper sheet connections. Supplied with a high power bike side loom.

For the main battery to controller connector we use the same type of plug as used by Talaria
Domestic Electrics
This means all your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down. This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).

Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.

Regen & High Power Set Ups
Running regen on high power setups can cause damage to both the controller and your battery. The motor can give massive power spikes if the motor is quickly turned into a generator from wheel spin and re-engagement (wheelies, jumps, hitting potholes hard etc.). The battery is designed to give high power and BMS mosfets struggle to suddenly have such a large reverse current fed into them.
We have seen well known third party controllers give damaging current as the controllers become unreliable under reverse polarity caused by their regen settings. “Motor Off” and thumb regen should be set low or better still turned off. If you are running extreme power like 20+ KW (250A, regen must be turned off. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
