Extreme race battery for extreme power outputs.
Talaria Battery 81v 49.5Kw 50Ah Evolution. As new cells come to market and more manufactures are getting involved in the very high performance cell sector, competition is giving more choice and prices are more competitive. Our batteries now encompace these changes. Placing ultra high performance cells with lowered cost. Our batteries have EVOLVED to bring you the very best in: quality, performance and saftey.
The build list is like a dream: Tenpower 50XG ultra low resistance cells with huge 5Mah capacity. These are one of the very best cells on the market. The battery is made with pure copper sheet connections. The Hybrid BMS, ANT 550 BMS (250A/550A). The exoskeleton case made from marine grade 316 stainless steel. We use two sets of high of quality 6AWG silicon power leads with qs8 anti spark connectors. Batteries are supplied with two bike side high power looms, aluminium spacers and charger. EVERYTHING is included (even shipping and taxes)
Cells
There are 220 cells in this Talaria Battery 81v 49.5Kw 50Ah Evolution. All have internal resistance. The more resistance, the more heat they produce, until they start to damage. The Tenpower 50XG is classed as one of the worlds premier cells for ultra low resistance at 4Ohm for a high power density (5Ah) cell. So with this ultra low resistance, they are able to supply enormous amounts of power without over heating.
Power
Talaria Battery 81v 49.5Kw 50Ah Evolution power as limited by the 49.5Kw/550A (peak/burst) by the Ant 550 BMS. A genuine constant power of 20Kw/250A non stop output. In real world scenario this is wheel popping at 60 mph and top speeds circa 90mph (must have a suitable motor and controller to achieve this)
Exoskeleton / Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out. Built tough for offroad use.
Connectors
The battery has two sets of discharge cables, One with qs8 Anti Spark connector. The other a standrd Talrai connector
NB: You do not have to use both sets of discharge cables. However using only one set Talaria connector (has to be used or the bike wil not function), power must be reduced to 14kw ( or you will cause battery damage)
Fitting
From the battery connectors to the controller (bike side, controller to battery). We supply a (free) supplimentary High Power loom. The Suplimentary High Power loom (for power over 14Kw) is fused and goes direct to the controller. The original Talaria connectors plug together like normal.
We use two sets to share or “parallel” the power. This reduces heat, transfers loads more efficiently and keeps the connectors from overheating.
Battery Compartment Lids or Lifting Kits
Because of the extra battery height (375mm) minor modification will needed to your bike.
For MX5 Pro ONLY, the battery will fit in the bike (without seat lift kit) but you may have to remove the battery tray (very simple, just remve 5 bolts hidden under tabs in the tray)
For all other Stings (MX3 MX4) , there are several options:
#1 Fit an aftermarket battery compartment lid
#2 Remove the battery plastic base tray in the bike (simply remove the 5 small allen key bolts from the top looking down) and fit our 5mm spacer between the metal battery lid catch and the lid (spacers provided)
#3 Seat Lift Kit option: https://www.electroncycles.co.uk/product/talaria-mx-seat-lift-kit-black-full-e-charged/
Domestic Electrics
This means all your bike accessories are still powered.
For those using a Torp Controller, Torp do not like direct power to the controller via your second cable. You can either not use the additional power cable we supply (we do not like to remove these as often buyers transfer batteries to another bike or other controller).
Battery Decal
The standard Evolution battery sticker is in red. Please state if you wish a different colour (Purple, Blue or Orange) request.

Connecting to Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, Connect the original Talaia connector together first. Then connect the second direct power qs8 connector. Removing the battery has no special order. qs8 connectors have anti spark built into them and should be pushed together slowly.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
