Description
We wanted to bring you the best 72v power to cost battery, we could make. We pulled out the stops and tested virtually every big power cell out there and the Tenpower 50XG stood head and shoulders above the others for: cost, reliability and outright power. Other cells were either much more expensive or had doubts about their reliability. The Tenpower 50XG gave us the best blend of everything, but at a price that makes it more affordable for you. The power output and performance Is simply stunning.
We do not make batteries that do not last. If you think that’s a sales ploy, then think on this: we are a registered UK company with UK legislation, and we cant make money if our batteries get sent back to us under warranty. The solution is easy, lets make the very best we can. All our battery cases are made from grade 316 Stainless steel, marine grade that doesn’t rust in salty water. We use copper cell contact strips to reduce internal heat and resistance and very difficult and costly to do. We use the very best cells for the application: cost, power, range, reliability. The very best state of the art of Battery Management System (BMS).

Cells
There are 220 Tebnpower 50XG cells in this battery and all have ultra low internal resistance. The less the resistance, the less heat produced, lower risk of damage. So with this low resistance, they are able to supply enormous amounts of power without over heating.
Power
This is a Talaria Battery 72v 55Ah 40kw Dominator EVO. With extreme bursts of 40Kw and a BMS limited 250A continious output. A battery with the abilty of maintaining 60+ MPH speeds and max speeds circa 80MPH and pure wheel popping, stomach clenching acceleration
Exoskeleton /Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out. Designed not to rust in salty sea water.
Connectors
The main Talaria battery to controller and battery to bike connectors we use are a 2 x QS8 on a heavy duty 6 AWG cable. This allows higher power flow and less resistance than a standard cable and connector. We supply a free upgraded high power loom with the battery.
We supply the bike side power loom to replace the original power loom that goes through the circuit break, and an additional second fused cable that runs up beside the breaker. Their simple to fit, just add the two red positive lugs on to the controllers positive terminals (piggy back.) Then fix the two negative black lugs of the two looms, to the negative terminals on the controller (piggy back)
Domestic Electrics
With our replacement high power bike side loom, all your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker on the second fused loom, that goes direct to the controller, removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS and the non circuit breaker loom is protected by the inline fuse we include. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down or the fuse blows. This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note, for example that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).
Fitting
The battery uses two sets of discharge cables. One to fit the original bikes connector. The second goes to an additional cable that we provide that is fixed direct to the controller. This enables the power to be fed “In Parallel” increasing the electrical flow, reducing resistance and reducing harmful heat. It shares the power delivery and takes the strain away from the original loom. These must be connected in a specific order (simple instructions supplied).
Battery Compartment Lids or Lifting Kits
Because of the extra battery height (375mm) minor modification will needed to your bike.
There are several options:
#1 Fit an aftermarket battery compartment lid
#2 MX5 Pro Remove the battery plastic base tray in the bike (simply remove the 5 small allen key bolts from the top looking down) and fit our 5mm spacer between the metal battery lid catch and the lid (spacers provided)

Battery Charging
Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.

Regen & High Power Set Ups
Running regen on high power set ups can cause damage to both the controller and your battery. The motor can give massive power spikes if the motor is quickly turned into a generator from wheel spin and re-engagement (wheelies, jumps, hitting pot holes hard etc.). The battery is designed to give high power and BMS mosfets struggle to suddenly have such a large reverse current fed into them.
We have seen well known third party controllers give damaging current as the controllers become unreliable under reverse polarity caused by their regen settings. “Motor Off” and thumb regen should be set low or better still turned off. If you are running extreme power like 20+ KW (250A, regen must be turned off. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
