Sur Ron Ultra Bee Ewatt Battery U8876 88V 76Ah 6688Wh is a monster range upgrade over OEM. It must have an aftermarket controller and we highly recomend the EBMXx9000V3. The battery gives Miles and miles of riding.
A quick lesson in batteries: The more volts the battery gives, the higher the motor RPM will go, as electric motors spin so many times per volts.
Range of a battery is NOT the AH. Ah only reperesents capacity at the voltage of the battery. Different battery voltages and the Ah has a diffrent storgae capacity (range). The REAL RANGE of a battery is measured in Wh (Watt hours). To get this figure, you do a simple sum. You mutliply the voltage of the battery with the AH. So in this battery the Wh is 88v x 76Ah = 6688Wh a MONSTER SIZE RANGE!! A standard Ultra Bee battery is only 74v x 60Ah = 4440Wh A LOT SMALLER! (and its restricted and the yhave played with the numbers, in reality its only about 3800Wh of actual available power).
Our CEO recently went for a ride in the pouring rain, here in North Devon in December. His controller set at 11kw and 450Pha to keep the rear tyre planted (still spun up loads). This gave him more than enough power to climb every gnarly, rocky mud laden lane we have. He covered approximately 30 miles in 2.5 hours, slipping all over the place, falling off, hitting an easy 60 mph on the odd bit of tarmac and coming home totally covered in mud. BUT he stil had half a battery full, even running with aftermarket lights and weighing 115 KG with a huge rear (heavy) knobbly.
If you want range, this battery is unbeatable.
We don’t make these ourselves, but we really highly regard the manufacturer – otherwise we wouldn’t sell them. The batteries’ are all CE approved and certified. We are a recognised repair centre for these batteries, so unlike any other seller in the UK, any repairs are done with us, are faster than any other seller. No messing, we get it done.
A few pointers about the battery. Like all highly tuned aftermarket devices, some have their own peculiarity. So here’s concerning this one. The battery I BIG. It does fit really well into the battery bay, but it helps to remove it if the battery is not fully charged. Also, as it is slightly more snug than the original, we found removing it quite heavy and sometimes needs prying backwards a touch to get it out. It’s totally doable but there is a lot of battery squeezed in there and it does give so much more power than the smaller standard battery. This battery is the furthest you will ever go on a Ultra Bee.

The battery is designed to slot straight into the bike and increase your range as much as 50%. As the cells are bigger, there will be less battery sag (voltage drop under full throttle).
It will also power after market controllers like the fantastic EBMX X-9000v3.

Regen & High Power Set Ups
Running regen on high power set ups can cause damage to both the controller and your battery. The motor can give massive power spikes if the motor is quickly turned into a generator from wheel spin and re-engagement (wheelies, jumps, hitting pot holes hard etc.). The battery is designed to give high power and BMS mosfets struggle to suddenly have such a large reverse current fed into them.
We have seen well known third party controllers give damaging current as the controllers become unreliable under reverse polarity caused by their regen settings. “Motor Off” and thumb regen should be set low or better still turned off. If you are running extreme power like 20+ KW (250A, regen must be turned off. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
