Sur Ron Bypass “Recovery” Charger for Bypass Mod Or Flat Battery

Our Sur Ron Bypass Recovery Charger will recover a standard 60v Sur Ron battery/bypassed battery that has been drained too far for the OEM Sur Ron charger to work.
This is a lower voltage charger that has been adapted to plug direct into the discharge port of a Sur Ron standard battery.
Please note that if your battery has drained too low, or been left to sit empty for a period of time, the voltage may be far too low for the recovery charger to work. We recommend that you put a voltmeter on your battery to determine its level of charge before you purchase this item. If in doubt please contact us.
This charger can also be used on our 60v 63Ah/65Ah battery if you want to use its full potential and go as low as 48v and then swap back to your OEM charger when over 54v. Our full 60v 10A charger does this all in one go.
How to use:
If your battery has been left in the outside cold, please bring it into a warm heated place and allow it to gently warm up to room temperature (this can take 24 hrs).
When back to “room” temperature, place the battery in a safe place (outside of the home always for charging).
Turn the charger on at the wall socket first.
Plug the “recovery” charger into the discharge port of the Sur Ron battery (the orange colour plug – see photo) and allow to charge until the voltage is showing above 54v, or until the charger shows a red and green LED light. This can take several hours – the charger will not be damaged if left overnight and has an auto cut off. Please always charge batteries in a safe place and never unsupervised.
Now plug in the standard Sur Ron charger in the normal way, and allow the battery to be fully charged and balanced – we recommend a 12hr minimum charge.
NOTE – The recovery charger is not designed to fully charge the battery or to balance the battery. Its is simply bringing the voltage of the battery back up to a state where the battery can be charged in the normal way by using the standard Sur Ron charger.
