52v 19.5Ah 2015Wh Polly Long Range Down Tube Battery Panasonic Tesla 21700 Cells + 4A Charger
UK Stock
52v 19.5Ah 1015Wh Polly Long Range Down Tube Battery. 50Amp Nominal BMS. 4p x 10A cells and designed for 1600w max motors and pure Nickle welded contacts. Downtube type battery, designed to fit on down tube utilizing water bottle bolts. These cells are volumetrically much bigger than the 18650 and hence give more power per cell and less welds. These are Branded specifically designed for medium output discharge and sustained medium/high drain. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 56 cells (14s4p) that retail in the UK for around £6 each! not including: BMS, casing, charger, shipping taxes AND FABRICATION. These batteries have been specifically designed for Bafang BBS, CC Stealth and 1000/1500w hub motors.
We do not recommend these batteries for power output above 40A (1600watts), these will handle all 40A or lower 48/52V applications but have been specifically built for the Bafang BBSHD and G510 Ultra drive and CYC Stealth. They have Anderson connectors and are “plug and play” for Bafang BBS02/BBSHD motors.
Please ALSO note, these are genuine new cells and made up into a complete battery specially to order for us at the factory. These are not “off the shelf” batteries that are found similar to other vendors. We buy the same cases and there it stops – everything is bespoke to Electron Cycles Limited. We simply can’t buy a single battery, we have to agree to a production run of at least 30 batteries. Thanks to Paypal fees, shipping and taxes the markup is minimal! Not all down tubes are the same and some slight modification maybe necessary to the mounting plate of the battery. YouTube has an abundance of “How To” videos.
We do not connect the USB port as we have found that with our wet UK weather this can cause reliability issues.
We recommend the purchase of Alfatex Velcro 30cm * 3cm (available on eBay) for additional support.

Space required, please see photo= H 125 mm * L 368 mm * W 95 mm please allow another 25mm to get on and off the cradle.

Charging: First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up from the mains. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. The charger will display two red lights (charging) after a long period of time (between 1 and 8 hrs – depending on state) the LED charger lights will display red and green. This indicates an initial charge is complete. However, as this is a new battery, not all cells within the battery are balanced (same state of charge as some were higher/lower than others to start with). This is because cells can arrive at the factory in different batches and may have slightly different charges due to time in storage). This is very common and normal. Now please leave the charger connected to the batteries for a further 12 hrs. This allows the internal balancing system (BMS) to balance out all the internal cells. The charge may turn on and off over this period of time. This “Balance charge” does not need to be done every time and is recommended every 20+ charges. Leaving the charger plugged in and working does not damage the battery. The charger is designed to stop charging at a pre-set level and turn on again when this level drops.
