This incredible and exclusive Talaria Sting MX5 ProĀ Competizione V2 82Ā Long Range 4060Wh Battery. Power has been increased and capable of a blistering 32kw (burst, but we advise a max controller setting of 23kW max for a standard motor). Top speed circa circa 75MPH. The wheel lifting acceleration is stunning.
The specially built 22s 81.4vĀ CompetizioneĀ battery fits directly into your bike. No seat lift kit necessary. We do ask you to remove the battery seat tray from your bike. This is super easy as there are only 4 screws to remove.Ā We supply a heavy duty self adhesive foam pad, to replace the tray. This gives a lower aspect and improves cushioning for the battery.
81.4v 4060Wh Battery
We replace the OEM 72v Battery 2500Wh (available power) with our huge 81.4v 4060Wh battery, giving monster increases in range and raw power. This allows the motor to spin faster and harder and still allows the motor to run at lower temperatures.

Cells
There are 220 Full Production EVE 50 PL CCC 21700 cells in this battery and all have internal resistance. The more resistance, the more heat they produce, until they start to damage. So with this low resistance, they are able to supply enormous amounts of power without over heating.

This is a Talaria Sting MX5 ProĀ Competizione V2 82Ā Long Range 4060Wh Battery with a continuous output of 20kW and burst power of 32kw. Power is limited due to the single power cables and connector. More extreme power can be found with the 81v Evolution battery.
Exoskeleton /Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
We use the same type Talaria batteryĀ connector as the original battery.

Battery Compartment Lids or Lifting Kits
Because of the extra battery height (375mm) minor modification will needed to your bike.
There are several options:

#2Ā Remove the battery plastic base trayĀ in the bike (simply remove the 5 small allen key bolts from the top looking down) and fit our 5mm spacer between the metal battery lid catch and the lid (spacers provided)

Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a āConnection Sparkā.Ā Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.

Regen & High Power Set Ups
Running regen on high power set ups can cause damageĀ to both the controller and your battery. The motor can give massive power spikes if the motor is quickly turned into a generator from wheel spin and re-engagement (wheelies, jumps, hitting pot holes hard etc.). The battery is designed to give high power and BMS mosfets struggle to suddenly have such a large reverse current fed into them.
We have seen well known third party controllers give damaging current as the controllers become unreliable under reverse polarity caused by their regen settings. āMotor Offā and thumb regen should be set low or better still turned off. If you are running extreme power like 20+ KW (250A, regen must be turned off.Ā Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
