Sur Ron Battery 72v 55Ah 3960Wh DominatorV4 25Kw

This is a 72v 55Ah Battery capable of peak 25kW power (360a peak discharge for 51 seconds until cut off on mosfet temp protection).

16kW continuous at 220A discharge runs for 4 minutes and 16 second continuous load until cut off on mosfet temp protection.

Cells

There are 220 cells in this battery and all have internal resistance. The more resistance, the more heat they produce, until they start to damage. So with this low resistance, they are able to supply enormous amounts of power without over heating.

Power

This is a Sur Ron Battery 72v 55Ah 3960Wh Dominator V4 25Kw power as limited by the 550A (peak/burst for 10 seconds) by the Ant 550 BMS.

Exoskeleton /Casing

We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.

Connectors

The main Sur Ron battery to controller and battery to bike connectors we use are a  QS8 on a heavy duty 6 AWG cable. This allows higher power flow and less resistance than a standard cable and connector. We supply a free upgraded high power loom with the battery.

Domestic Electrics

This means all your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down.  This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note, for example that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).

Fitting

Fit the high power cable we provide to directly replace the OEM cable that came with the bike.

Battery Charging

First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time.  Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
